Mentor a Student

We're looking for Career Mentors like you to inspire our students!

Sheffield Hallam runs a career mentoring scheme where we introduce a student to a professional in a job role, industry or organisation that is of interest to them.

The scheme has run very successfully for a number of years and has grown considerably which is why we want to develop our network of career mentors to grow the scheme even more.

Mentoring is incredibly rewarding and offers you the opportunity to share your experiences and knowledge with students to help them prepare and enter the world of work upon graduation.

It also allows you to reflect on your own practice, develop your communication, coaching and relationship management skills.

This year's scheme starts in September and all it takes is a minimum of four one hour meetings between November and April with your Mentee.

Interested?

Head to the Career Mentoring website to find out more about the scheme and to complete our application form.

Alternatively, if you have any questions, please contact Helen Armitage at careermentoring@shu.ac.uk

Thanks in advance for your help - your contribution will help to inspire our students.
